AGA is raising $10,000 so that a rural community in Honduras can have clean water. On our study tour to Honduras this past December, we visited the community (La Cienega) that will benefit from this fundraiser. Currently, they are using the same water to bathe and for cooking and drinking. They are also not able to have health care in their rural community because they do not have a clean water supply. The money that AGA raises will directly go towards purchasing and installing a water pump that will supply clean water to La Cienega. We thought the best way to tackle the Promesa project was to have 2 committees which are the pump and presentation committee. Having the 2 smaller committees will make it easier to find meeting times. Also, Mrs. Pettigrew will attend both committee meetings to ensure that both groups are working in the same direction.
